We caught up with DJ Baz to discuss his thoughts behind the 2010 selection:

Vino:  So what were the driving forces behind your 2010 track selections?

Baz: I approached the Chestival CD as I would the selection of a cricket XI.  I like to open the batting with a couple of meaty hitters add in a touch of sophistication at 4 and 5, followed by a couple of experienced all-rounders finishing of with the inimitable daredevil tailenders.

Vino:  What the f*ck are you on about?  Anyway back to the music...

Baz: OK, in simple terms, Geordie and Tipsy wanted an upbeat start to the soundtrack.  Mart wanted a Diamond double-header.  GJ whined on & on about the lack of Irish music and of course Cheltenham Paul insists on adding a touch of spice.

Vino:  The Chestival CD's have always been based on horse or racing connections, so what are the main ones this year?

Baz:  Most of the jumping ones are obvious and I've thrown in a Champion Hurdle winner for good measure.  I hope that this selection hits the spot, who knows one day it might make it's way into the Chestival Hall Of Fame.
